Actually, we have had 2 games so far and I think she is starting to get the concept that it is okay to go after the ball even after someone has it first. As parents we spend so much time telling our kids to share and not take things away from someone else, it has been a challenge to encourage taking the ball away from someone else. Slowly but surely she will get it and the Silverbacks (that is her team name) are taking charge!!
Here is Ashley wanting to block the balls from the goal. In the league that she plays - there is no official goalie - however her strict coach has been encouraging the "defense" and "suggesting" that one player come back to cover the goal....

Oh - that strict coach I was talking about...we also call him Daddy!
