Pet For A Day...or a few days

The kids have been REALLY wanting a pet - so when I found a turtle in the yard the other day I thought this would be a great idea to keep for a few days. With the help of the neighbors - we built a habitat for our new pet "Caroline".



We kept her for about 4 or 5 days, all the while telling Ashley that we were going to have to "release her back to the wild." Well...the tears came flooding yesterday when we went to set her free.
We marked a purple CP (Caroline Parker) on her shell so we would know if we find her again...
